After The Show at 5 Seasons

Hey wassup y’all? Darryl Griffin back with another blog for y’all. First I’d like to thank everyone that came out last night and watched us do what we do.I’d also like to thank the people that had no idea who we were and became fans off of the 5 tracks we did. We’re honored at the fact that we are making strives in the right direction with our music.

Today I’d like to talk to everyone about some things that took place last night and it usually happens no matter the venue we go to. I started off getting a vibe from the crowd that was gathering along with people that were participating in the event. It was more so like, “I don’t give a fuck who y’all think y’all are” kind of thing. Now understand that myself and Boogie are the most humbled people we can be and don’t portray ourselves as being these super MCs that are well known. Anyway, after we got on stage and got into our set, we performed our opening track “Ready for Us”. Now….we aren’t typical rappers where all we want to do is go song to song to song. Honestly its kind of boring to us. So we asked the DJ to stop the next track and he replies “be aware y’all have a time limit and I will cut y’all off”. Now I wasn’t completely bothered by it because I knew we would remain I’m the time limit we were given. But how can something like that be tolerated? We are artist and we’re expressive. Its like yo…why would you cut somebody off in the middle of their set? That’s what’s wrong with the structure of some performances. But to keep it moving….we put our foot in the performance. I’m proud of myself and Boogie cause I think we made a major push forward. The place was filled with people we didn’t know and we won over some new fans. And at tthe end of the set the DJ had his foot in his mouth cause he gave us praise because what we did something completely different then anybody else. Some people said I looked upset at the end of the set cause I feel like…me and Boogie have to prove ourselves in every venue we hit which is understandable. But give us the chance first without assuming that we’re going to get on stage and be wack. At the end of the day we did some great networking, everyone showed love and supported everything we’re about. As far as the people that came up on stage while we were performing….that’s another story. But maybe they wanted to be apart of the greatness lol….but yea! Again thanks to everyone that made it and the people that wanted to make it. Peace!

Yo. Nobody said that making music is easy. It takes alot out of myself and Boogie to present to everyone the things that we do. However, we enjoy every minute of it.

Without being difficult music wouldn’t require the talent or patience to produce a good product. I believe that our product is unique and it completely differs from what is being pushed today as good music. Here’s the question. Since its something different will it be the next big thing? Maybe. Maybe not. But I’m not concerned with being the next big thing. I’m interested in being respected for my craft and I want my talents to be heard by the masses.

Today people expect for artist to try to fit in with everyone else so they can be noticed. I would rather be a stand out. Lets take a look at some previous history since it does repeat itself. Outkast was a very successful hip hop group that consisted of two members; Big boi and Andre 3000. I love this group because I see it similar to Boogie and myself. Boogie has a style, lyrically and visually that fits Andre. Myself..I see myself as big boi. I’m just me and I present myself as that.

But anyway. I’m just blogging because I’m at work bored. 3913 One Way Ticket EP on the way!!
